At HOM by Ray & Son, we rely on each one of our people and their talents. Here's a little bit of information about each of our staff.

		Ray Kautz always says “It’s all in the way you treat people”.  The father of six sons, who’s been in the carpet and flooring business for more than 75 years, opened his first flooring store in Mount Prospect in 1958 and expanded into Buffalo Grove in 1978.  He still works three days a week in our showroom and isn’t ready to quit any time soon.  The grandchildren of Ray’s original customers are now our satisfied clients and wouldn’t shop anywhere else – their grandparents and parents won’t let them!
		John Kautz fourth generation business owner, has over 35 years experience in all areas of the flooring and home interiors industry – including imported glass and metal tile.  John started his career as an installer working for his father at Carpets by Ray & Sons while in high school, so he knows the business literally from the ground up. "Our success is due to our repeat customers and referrals - it’s not just because of our products and services, but in large part because we treat everyone just like family."
		Mary Aubry is a graduate of Western Kentucky University where she majored in Fashion Merchandising.  Mary relies on her past experience in retail buying and merchandising, women’s accessories sales, window treatment design, and small business owner (Mary Aubry Designs) while managing all phases of her client’s projects.  “It’s very important that my clients enjoy the space where they spend their time – when they’re happy in their environment it reflects positively in all other aspects of their lives.”
